Jen | Your Career Bestie

Breaking into Hollywood or pivoting out? Landing your first job or ready to move up? Not into Hollywood and just want to level up your career? Stop guessing! Work with someone who’s been in the room and has helped people get hired at CAA, Netflix, Disney, Universal, and more!

About

Ex-Netflix & Disney, turned your career bestie.

I broke into Hollywood first-gen with no connections, thanks to a script I wrote in college. I went on to work for the Co-Chairman of CAA, and then spent years at two of the biggest names: Netflix and Disney.

Now, I’m in your corner! No matter what field you’re in - whether you’re a creative chasing your next role, someone ready to pivot into something new, or just trying to move up where you are - I'm here to help you succeed.

Testimonials

“I did everything I was supposed to do. Good internships, good companies, good grades. Then I graduated and heard nothing. Not even rejections, just silence. I started to wonder if I’d somehow missed the window. Jen didn’t just tell me what to fix. She introduced me to people, walked me through what to say in coffee chats, and ran mock interviews with me until I stopped freezing up. I’ve now landed my dream role at Universal Pictures.”

- Ashley M

“I had sent out dozens of applications and barely heard back. Jen was honest with me: the way I was describing my experience wasn’t landing, and cold applications alone weren’t going to get me there. We built an outreach plan together, and I actually stuck to it. Five weeks later I had an offer.”

- Paul C

“I thought my resume was fine. We rewrote about half of it live in one session, and I started getting interviews within a week of sending the new version.”

- Marcus T

“I knew I wanted to move into a new industry but had no idea how to explain 12 years in a completely different field without sounding unsure of myself. Jen helped me see how my background actually connected to where I wanted to go. By session three, I had an answer I actually believed and its helped me in every conversation I’ve had.”

- Michelle P

“Got laid off along with the rest of my team and wasn’t sure if entertainment was for me anymore. I had spent 15 years in the industry, but somehow recruiters and job postings were telling me I’m no longer qualified. Jen helped me step back and look at the whole picture: which opportunities made sense, which ones were just me panicking, and how to go after the right ones with a real plan. For the first time since the layoff, I felt like I was steering instead of scrambling.”

- Cory W

“I knew I was ready for more, but I wasn't sure how to make the case for myself. Jen helped me articulate my impact, prepare for the conversation, and advocate for what I deserved. I left with a clearer plan and the confidence to ask for it. FYI, I got the raise.”

- Neha S

"I’d been working on my show for months, and my deck was packed with everything I loved about it, but it didn’t tell a clear story. Jen came in with fresh eyes and helped me figure out what actually mattered. She also ran me through the pitch out loud and asked the kinds of questions an exec would ask, so nothing caught me off guard. I walked into the room feeling prepared instead of nervous."

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do I start?
Book a free 15-minute call. If we’re a fit, choose bi-weekly or weekly coaching, sign the agreement, and book your first session. At the end of it, I’ll lock in a standing time for you, so you never have to think about booking.
What’s the difference between Bi-Weekly, Weekly, and the Intensive?
Bi-Weekly and Weekly are the same ongoing coaching. The difference is how much support you want. The Intensive is a single session focused on one thing.

Bi-Weekly is for you if you like time between sessions to do the work, whether that’s applying, reaching out, or trying something new at your job, and then coming back to talk it through. It’s steady, sustainable progress.

Weekly is for you if you want more support and accountability: someone checking in every week, keeping you on track, and helping you work through things as they come up.

The Intensive is a single 45-minute session on one specific thing, like a resume, an interview, or a negotiation.
How long do people usually work with you?
Most clients work with me for about three months, depending on what they’re working on. Some go from “I don’t know what I’m doing” to “I start Monday.” Others want long-term support even after they’ve started their new job or landed their promotion. Whatever brings you here, I’m in your corner for every part of the journey.
How do billing and cancelling work?
You’re charged when you sign up, then automatically on the same date each month. You can cancel anytime from your client portal, and you won’t be charged again. If you cancel partway through a billing cycle, you can either keep your remaining sessions through the end of the cycle or get a refund for the sessions you haven’t used.
What if I can’t make a session?
Your session time is reserved just for you, so I require at least 24 hours’ notice if you can’t make it.
  • For any session cancelled with 24+ hours’ notice, you can either reschedule before your next billing date or get a refund for that session. Refunds are limited to one session per billing cycle.
  • For late cancellations or no-shows, the session counts as used.
  • If I ever need to cancel, you can choose to receive a make-up session or a refund.
  • Intensive sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Do I need to be in LA or in entertainment?
Not at all! We meet on Google Meet, so I can be in your corner wherever you are. And while many of my clients work in Hollywood, I love working with people across all kinds of industries and career stages: new grads, career pivoters, creatives, project managers, and anyone who’s ready to grow and wants someone in their corner!
Do you guarantee I’ll get a job?
No coach can honestly promise that, since hiring decisions are out of both of our hands. What I can promise is a real plan, honest feedback, and someone in your corner the whole way.
